Before I kick off this weeks article, let me just rectify a few things, As a DJ I know that competition rises from any direction without warning at any given time, Me and this individual above have no grudges against each other, I take him as my own brother and have never tarnished his name as an artist. There's practically no time to be dragging another artist's name in the mud who will probably need my help in the near future and vise versa.WITH THAT OUT OF THE WAY, LET'S GET INTO THE GOOD STUFF!!!!!
Ndzalo Manzini better known as Narcotic_DJ is a Producer and DJ from the house family DHF (Dark Horse Family) based in Thulamahashe, Busbuckridge. He is this week's new House DJ. This hard working individual is both multi-talented and creative in his own right.

His inspiration for house music came about when he started hanging out popular household name DJ, Nthando Sithole aka DarkHorse as they both come from the same neighbourhood. After he developed an ear for house music, one of his friends Nkavelo Nxumalo aka NickSoul, started mentoring him about all the ins and outs of being a Disco Jockey. Narcotic eventually learned how to use CDJ's, complicated as they were. He managed to get the hang of the equipment's functionality later on. He's still perfecting his skills whenever he can and that has taught him to be humble and patient over the years. "It's hard being a DJ because everyone is a DJ these days and every given minute on stage should be spent to your advantage of proving yourself to the masses". His most memorable moment was when he saw his friends and supporters backing him up at his gigs and eventually impressing DarkHorse himself, that's when he knew he had the skill and potential to get people talking about him long after he's left the stage. He's currently working on a new single with DarkHorse and Sandile 'Jack' who's a vocalist, and is expected to drop by the end of the year. This young individual sees himself making waves and being a household name too all over the country with his music family DHF and DB's. His favorite House Duo is HouseVictims and is a huge fan of their music production and always listens to their work. Narcotic is strictly against free shows/gigs as he says he needs the same credibility and respect that he deserves from promoters just like when they bring out big artists to do performances at festivals. One of his long term goals is to share a stage with DJ Shimza. When hes not busy making people dance or crafting his own music, he occupies his time by designing event posters or CD covers. His words of advice to other young up and coming artists is that "Always be humble and be patient in whatever you do, you don't want to end up playing for 3 people, always approach people with respect, you never know where they might take you with your skill and always make room for disappointment and rejection.
